What is botulinum toxin? Botulinum therapy (popularly known as “Botox”) is an injection method for smoothing wrinkles with botulinum toxins. Botulinum toxin is a type A neurotoxin that blocks neuromuscular transmission.
What is the principle of its action? Botulinum toxin acts locally and causes muscle relaxation. It acts precisely on the muscle into which the drug is injected. Most often, botulinum toxin smooths wrinkles on the forehead, in the glabella area (between brows), and around the eyes (called “crow’s feet”).
What are the risks and side effects of rehabilitation? Botulinum toxin does not have a systemic side effect. Short-term side effects that occur less frequently include drooping eyelids, eyebrows, and corners of the mouth. It depends on the quality of the drug and the skill of the specialist who conducts the procedure.
How long does the effect last? This procedure is temporary, so it is worth repeating it every 3-5 months.
What is the advantage of this method over the others? Botulinum therapy has an effect on the cause of wrinkles: our facial habits, and slight “fatigue” of the facial muscles. Therefore, it gives a quick, safe, and good effect.

What results can I expect from my treatment?
Results will vary depending on your pre-existing condition, desired results, and the condition of your skin and surrounding facial structures. You can expect your skin to feel smoother, fuller, and plumper.
Fillers can be used in all areas of the face. Placed in the cheeks they can combat the sagging and flattening of features by recapturing the volume and plumpness of a youthful face.
Used in lips they can add volume and definition as well as reduce the appearance of fine lines around the mouth.
Dermal fillers placed in the nose can be a non-surgical alternative to a nose job (rhinoplasty). It is quicker, less invasive, and lower cost than surgery but can still achieve a good result. Nose reshaping can include filling in depressions, making it more symmetrical, or changing the shape of the nose. Carried out in as little as 15 minutes and with hardly any recovery time, this procedure is very popular.
Other areas that can be treated include jawline sculpture and definition, correcting and chapping the chin, neckline, and décolletage where deeper fillers may be used to plump out acne scars or smooth depressions.
Another common procedure is to improve the look of dark circles under the eye in what is known as the “tear trough” or sunken eyes. What looks like discoloration and darkness can often be caused by loss of subcutaneous fat with thinning of the skin over the orbital rim ligaments, combined with cheek descent.

Redness and a slight skin warming are normal after treatment and usually subside within an hour. Over the next one to two days, you may notice a darkening of pigmented spots. In the weeks following, the pigmented lesions will clear, leading to an evening out of the skin tone. After treating vascular lesions, you may see the vein blanch or a color change in the vessel, which will dissipate after a few days.
An improved skin appearance can be noticeable after 3-6 sessions. Multiple sessions provide even better results.

What is Rejuran treatment?
Rejuran is the brand name for a treatment that contains Polynucleotides, which are DNA fragments derived from salmon. These Polynucleotides promote skin regeneration, improve elasticity, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles when injected into the skin. Rejuran injections are often used as part of anti-ageing and skin rejuvenation procedures, especially for additional collagen stimulation in the upper layers of the skin.
Launched in Korea in 2014, Rejuran was exclusively used in Asian countries such as Korea and Singapore, before being approved in Australia in July 2023.
What is in Rejuran?
Rejuran is an injectable product containing Polynucleotides from wild salmon, otherwise known as Sodium DNA. These polynucleotides are short DNA fragments, typically sourced from salmon DNA or other marine organisms. When injected into the skin, they are believed to offer several benefits for skin health and appearance.
Rejuran is placed into the dermis layer of the skin using a method known as mesotherapy to stimulate the fibroblasts to produce collagen.
PDO THREADS
A thread lift is a procedure that uses a dissolvable suture to tighten and lift your skin. It’s a less invasive procedure than facelift surgery and can often be performed in under 45 minutes without needing to go under a scalpel.
Polydioxanone (PDO) thread lifts use a biodegradable polyester suture. They’re best suited for rejuvenating your skin while some newer types of thread lifts are better at lifting sagging skin.
